Private coaching

A standing appointment with your own ambition.

A retainer engagement for individuals and families with real capital and no dedicated strategy: everything you own, everything you owe, and everything you intend, ordered into one working plan.

Who sits in this chair

You earned it faster than anyone taught you to manage it.

The people who book this engagement have three things in common. Their money has outgrown the advice around them, so savings sit idle in accounts that flatter the bank more than the balance. The counsel they can get is conflicted, because institutions sell their own products and friends offer confidence without qualification. And the instruments built for their level, regulated special funds, offshore markets, estate structures, feel like a language they were never taught.

Coaching closes that gap. You bring the ambition and the numbers; I bring the training, the market knowledge and the discipline of a written plan.

How it runs

A cadence, on retainer, until the plan can walk on its own.

Engagements run on a monthly retainer with a minimum of three months, because a real financial architecture cannot be drawn in one sitting. The first month maps everything: income, assets, obligations, dependants, ambitions, and the risks you have been carrying without pricing. From there the work settles into a cadence of working sessions, each one closing decisions rather than opening tabs: structure, allocation logic, protection, estate readiness, and the education to hold your own in any room your money enters.

Between sessions you have homework and I have your file. I review progress against the plan in writing, which is the difference between coaching and conversation.

You leave owning the plan, and the thinking behind it.

The engagement ends with a written wealth plan you understand line by line, a decision framework for the products licensed institutions will put in front of you, and the habits that keep both alive. You keep the freedom you came for: money that answers to intention, and a legacy that is now a document rather than a hope.

What I will not do

Three refusals that protect you.

I will not recommend specific securities or time the market for you; product decisions belong with licensed, regulated institutions, and I will tell you plainly when you need one. I will not promise you a return, because nobody honest can. And I will not extend an engagement that has done its work; the retainer ends when your plan can walk on its own.

Asked before booking

The questions that reach my desk first.

I am a coach and educator, and I am deliberate about the difference. I hold a BCom in Finance and spent years inside one of Kenya's leading investment banks, but I do not sell or recommend specific investment products. When a licensed institution belongs in your decision, I say so and step back.

There is no fixed threshold. The engagement fits people with meaningful capital or income and no dedicated strategy: typically senior professionals, business owners and families planning across generations. The discovery call settles fit in thirty minutes.

Three months at minimum, six for most clients, on a monthly retainer. Long enough to build and stress-test a real plan, and no longer than the plan needs.

Yes, from a small set of licensed partner institutions, and I disclose every relationship before it ever touches your plan. The disclosures page lists how this works. In a market where quiet commissions are normal, my open ledger is the point.

Yes. Most clients arrive with the two entangled, and part of the work is deciding where one should end and the other begin.
